The Town of Erie plans to install five speed bumps in October 2026 on Alpine Drive and Primrose Lane, from the mailbox area at Hamilton Road all the way to the connection with Mountain View Boulevard. The locations are already marked on the road with painted "SB" markings.
This is part of the Town's Neighborhood Speed Management Program (NSMP) for Alpine Drive and Primrose Lane. Residents voted this summer (July 24 – August 21) between two traffic-calming options, and Town staff recommended Option 1 at the September 1 Council study session.
What to expect
- Installation in the coming weeks, weather permitting. Expect short lane closures or crews working on Alpine Drive and Primrose Lane while the speed bumps go in.
- The painted "SB" marks show where each of the five speed bumps will be.
